Due to COVID-19, many students have not been on Cal Poly Pomona's campus in nearly two years. That's a long time for them to be away from their favorite haunts. As we are making the transition back to fully in-person instruction, this is a perfect time to get reintroduced to four essential buildings on campus. Here are the main buildings all CPP students should be familiar with and what services are offered.

University Library
Do you need to conduct research for a paper, gather with fellow students to work on a classroom project and try Starbucks' newest pumpkin-flavored coffee concoction all in one place? Well then, the University Library is the place for you. Cal Poly Pomona's library is a pillar on campus, housing 2.4 million materials. It also includes study rooms, the Maker's Studio, the Bronco Computer Lab, and the only Starbucks on campus. For a list of online resources, click here.

The Marketplace
The Marketplace, which borders the quad and sits above the Career Center, is a hub of sorts for students looking for a place to hang out with friends or study over a meal or a snack. Currently, dining options are limited to Pony Express and Panda Express, but students are still enjoying the atmosphere. For a full directory of CPP dining services, click here.

The Bronco Student Center
Renamed the Bronco Student Center in 2003, the BSC is home to many student services. At the BSC, students can cash a check, access copying and mailing services, grab something to eat and now, pick up their Class Pass to ride Foothill Transit buses. The BSC is also home to the Games Room, which fosters a sense of campus community and connection. For a comprehensive list of BSC services, click here.

The Student Services Building
The Student Services Building (SSB), which opened in January 2019, is both the newest and most essential building on campus for all students. Designed to be a one-stop-shop of sorts, the SSB houses most of the key functions of the university from financial aid to transfer services to payroll.
