Cal Poly Pomona will host its annual First-Generation College Student Week Nov. 8-12.
The national celebration on Nov. 8 celebrates the first-generation community of students, faculty, staff and alumni in higher education. As of Fall 2021, 58 percent of CPP students are among the first in their family to go to college or receive a bachelor's degree in the United States. Many faculty and staff are also first-generation college graduates.
The I AM FIRST team from the Office of Student Success, Equity, and Innovation have teamed with campus partners to host a week of in-person and virtual programming, and everyone is welcome to attend the following events.
