Eastbound 10 Freeway Connector Lanes to 57 Freeway Closing

Map of the northbound and southbound connector lane closures to the 57 Freeway from the eastbound 10 Freeway.

The campus community is being advised that freeway expansion work on the eastbound 10 Freeway will force the closure of the northbound and southbound connector lanes to the 57 Freeway for short daytime durations.

The 57 Freeway connector lanes from the eastbound 10 Freeway will be closed Wednesday, Jan. 23, to Friday, Jan. 25, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. each day.

The Kellogg Drive off-ramp on the eastbound 10 Freeway will not be affected. However, drivers are being advised to allow extra commuting time because of potential traffic backups.

Caltrans will post electronic signs about the lane closures and direct drivers to a detour at Fairplex Drive. The detour will loop motorists back on the westbound 10 Freeway where they can access the northbound and southbound lanes of the 57 Freeway.

Commuters who use the southbound 57 Freeway connector lane from the eastbound 10 Freeway should anticipate traffic slowdowns and delays in arriving to Cal Poly Pomona.

The connector lanes closures are subject to change depending on weather conditions.

For real-time freeway updates, go to Caltrans' Quickmap.

The ramp and barrier work at Kellogg Drive is part of the $243-million I-10 High Occupancy Vehicle Lane Project, which will add one carpool lane in both directions of the 10 Freeway from Citrus Avenue to the 57 Freeway. Work on the 5.2-mile section is scheduled to be completed in 2022.
