The two northbound lanes of realigned Kellogg Drive will be merged periodically into one lane starting on Monday, Dec. 10.
The northbound lanes will merge intermittently along sections of the road weekdays from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. The operation is scheduled to conclude on Saturday, Jan. 19. The northbound bike lane also will be shut down during this period.
Orange traffic cones will mark the narrowing of the roadway and flagmen will direct drivers entering this stretch of Kellogg Drive.
The merging of lanes will give contractor crews room to construct a new vehicle barrier fence to protect horses roaming the adjacent grazing pens. Landscape enhancements, including the planting of trees, also will be completed along this part of the realigned road.
Drivers who use northbound Kellogg Drive after 7 a.m. on weekdays should allow extra time for anticipated traffic slowdowns.
