Go Farther and Faster with Cal Poly Pomona's Accelerated Summer Term

As the campus nears Semester Conversion, and the final quarter ending on June 8, students wanting to get ahead can benefit from this summer's five-week accelerated program, which offers more than 500 courses. Summer session runs from June 18 to July 24, and the first day of the fall semester begins on Aug. 23.

Priority registration for Cal Poly Pomona students begins on Monday, April 16. General registration begins on Wednesday, April 18. Free summer T-shirts will be given out to the first 200 registrants.

Incentives for registering for summer include several prizes being given away to randomly selected students.

  • 4 free parking passes for the summer
  • 2 license plate holders
  • 2 graduation frames
  • Grand Prize - 2 pairs of tickets to Disneyland

Students are encouraged to keep their MyPlanner up-to date and meet with their advisors. Filling out MyPlanner will let the university know which courses are the most in demand and helps students stay organized in their academic planning.

During U-hour beginning April 12, students can visit the summer session table located in front of the Bronco Student Center to get information and win prizes, Bronco Bucks and snacks.

Financial Aid packages may be available to students with fewer than 8 units to graduation. Email summer@cpp.edu during regular business hours from 8 to 5 p.m. for more information and a response will come within 48 hours.

For questions about general registration, visit the Bronco Advising Center in the CLA Building.

Information about summer session, including the course schedule, tuition, registration, financial aid and housing, is available on the Summer Session website.
