It's All Fun and Games for CPP Day at the Fair

Cal Poly Pomona Day at the LA County Fair is Saturday, Sept. 24.

If you're craving unusual fried foods and colorful carnival rides, the Los Angeles County Fair's Cal Poly Pomona Day could provide your fix.

Current students, staff and faculty can enjoy free admission by showing a coupon and Bronco ID on Saturday, Sept. 24. Alumni can purchase tickets at a discounted rate.

Guests can head over to the Blue Gate area from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. to visit booths from various Cal Poly Pomona clubs and organizations.

Cal Poly Pomona also will be featured in the parade, starting at noon near Expo Hall 4 and circling the carnival zone. The parade will include members of various student organizations, ASI, University Athletics, the Children's Center, Mr. and Ms. CPP and University President Soraya M. Coley, among others.

If you're in the mood to hang out with some cute farm animals, visit The Farm to feed goats, sheep and other little critters on loan from the College of Agriculture.

In addition, if you need a ride from campus or just want to avoid parking fees, a free shuttle will be available from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. running from Oak Lane near Parking Lot F9 to Gate 1 at the Pomona Fairplex. Parking in Lot F9 will be free for the day.
