Cal Poly Pomona makes a strong showing in U.S. News & World Report's "Best Colleges 2017," again ranking as one of the top colleges and universities in the Western United States.
The university ranks No. 4 among non-doctorate-granting public universities in the West, which encompasses 15 states in the U.S. News & World Report compilation. Cal Poly Pomona was ranked second among CSU campuses, pulling ahead of other universities including San Jose State and Cal State Long Beach.
Factoring in private colleges and universities, Cal Poly Pomona ranks No. 31 in the West, the same ranking it attained in the 2016 report.
The College of Engineering continues to make strong showings, ranking No. 11 among national programs that confer bachelor's and master's degrees. The college was ranked 15th nationally last year.
