Campus Hosting International Education Week Event

International Education Week kicked off at Cal Poly Pomona Monday with an opening ceremony that featured performances from students from China.

The university is hosting 100 students from the Jintong Aviation Training school who are on campus for the College of Extended University's new aviation and hospitality program. The events continue today with a Study Abroad Expo.

International Education Week is a joint initiative with the U.S. Department of State and U.S. Department of Education to promote programs for study abroad and cultural exchange experiences.

Planned events for this week include the following:

Nov. 17 - Study Abroad Expo, International Center, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

  • Nov. 18 - Faculty Panel: "Higher Education & Global Perspectives," CLA (98T-8), 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.
  • Nov. 19 - Study Abroad Fair & International Food Festival, University Park, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
  • Nov. 20 - International Game Festival, Quad, 4 to 5:30 p.m.
