Cal Poly Pomona Gets Its Day and Due at the LA County Fair

Cal Poly Pomona's Day at the LA County Fair is Saturday, Sept. 26.

Clear your calendars for food, fun and free admission to Cal Poly Pomona Day at the Los Angeles County Fair!

On Saturday, Sept. 26 current students, staff and faculty members can get into the fair for free by printing a coupon and showing their Bronco ID at the gate. Cal Poly Pomona alumni can also receive entrance to the fair at a discounted rate.

The university will make its presence known at the fair with a variety of activities and events exhibiting Bronco pride.

Visitors will be able to stop by booths set up by various campus clubs and organizations from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. near the Blue Gate and the Plaza de las Americas. A parade featuring a variety of student groups, ASI, Bronco Athletics, the Children's Center, Mr. and Ms. CPP, and President Soraya M. Coley will circle the Carnival area, beginning at noon.

Fair-goers can get up close and personal with Cal Poly Pomona's livestock at the petting zoo, provided by the College of Agriculture each year. This year, three of the school's cows are scheduled to give birth during the fair.

Parking & Transportation Services will also offer a free shuttle to bus visitors back and forth between Parking Lot C and Gate 1 at the Pomona Fairplex. The shuttle will run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and there will be no charge for parking on campus to use this service.
