Update on BroncoDirect, IT Systems

CPP News

The university experienced a major system failure in its information technology infrastructure, which affected BroncoDirect and several other applications. IT staff have recovered all critical campus services, except BroncoDirect.

Registration for fall classes will take place as scheduled but on an alternate application. Although students will register through a different link, the process will be very similar to BroncoDirect. Detailed instructions about registering through PeopleSoft will be emailed to the campus and posted on PolyCentric.

Faculty and staff should have access to BroncoDirect services through PeopleSoft by the end of Wednesday.

For the updates on the IT system status, go to www.cppalerts.info.

Restoring BroncoDirect to its original status is estimated to take six to eight weeks. Instead, IT staff will use the opportunity to implement an upgrade that was already in the planning stages. The improvements to BroncoDirect are expected to take about 12 weeks.

The system failure was unrelated to the launch of the university's redesigned website. Fully restoring all other widely used applications is expected by the end of the week.
