With Homecoming Week in full swing, the first-place Cal Poly Pomona men's basketball team will look to extend its 11-game winning streak against Cal State Monterey Bay.

Five regular season games remain for the Broncos, and three of those contests will be played at Kellogg Gym. Cal Poly Pomona, ranked fourth nationally, hosts Monterey Bay at 7:30 p.m. Saturday.

The Broncos are coming off a 71-56 victory over Cal State East Bay on Thursday night at Kellogg Gym. At 20-1 overall and 16-1 in the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA), the Broncos have clinched a spot as one of the league's top four seeds in the conference tournament and will host a first-round playoff game on Tuesday, March 5.

In the five-year history of the CCAA Basketball Championships, the Broncos' men's basketball program has reached at least the semifinals every time.

The first West Region rankings are set to be unveiled Wednesday, Feb. 20, with that poll giving a clearer postseason picture for the NCAA Tournament, which will begin in mid-March. Only one West Region squad is ranked above the Broncos in the National Association of Basketball Coaches Top 25 poll: No. 2 Western Washington (22-0) - the defending national champs.

Homecoming Week

There are plenty of exciting events on campus this week, including a homecoming concert and pep rally Friday night and then four athletic events Saturday.

The Broncos' baseball team will host Cal State San Bernardino for a doubleheader starting at 11 a.m. Then the women's and men's basketball teams will host Cal State Monterey Bay starting at 5:30 p.m.

Throughout Homecoming Week, CPP fans are encouraged to wear as much green and gold as possible. On social media, don't forget to include the hashtag #CPPHC in addition to #FearTheHerd.
