The California Music Educators Association (CMEA) has awarded music Professor Janine Riveire the 2012 John Swain College/University Educator Award. The award honors a California music professor¿s contribution to music education and for helping to shape the music education profession in a meaningful way for students and educators. Iris Levine, music department chair, was the 2011 recipient of the CMEA/John Swain award.
