William Hughes, director of the Arabian Horse Center, has been appointed to the Equine Medication Monitoring Program Advisory Committee by A.G. Kawamura, Secretary California Department of Food and Agriculture. His term began July 1 and extends to June 30, 2012. The committee advises and review the operation of the Equine Medication Monitoring Program, which prevents the misuse of medication in show and sale horses.

Hughes will also be judging the Arabian Youth National Championship Show from July 24 to 31 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
