Ed Ng, assistant professor in the management & human resources department, will be recognized for his excellence in research by the Administration Sciences Association of Canada. Ng will receive the Best Paper award at the association's May conference, making it the third year in a row he has been honored. In 2009, Ng received the Best Paper award and received an honorable mention in 2008. Ng, an expert in workplace issues affecting the Millennial Generation, explored the career expectations among Canadian women in their 20s. After comparing female and male responses, Ng discovered that women consistently reported lower salary expectations, promotion rates and salary increases and were more willing to accept less-than-ideal jobs.
