Pianist and composer Michael Garson, who has performed with the Smashing Pumpkins, Nine Inch Nails, Gwen Stefani and Stan Getz, and toured with David Bowie over the last four decades, will perform and lecture at Cal Poly Pomona on Thursday, Feb. 4.

Garson's master class lecture, which is free, is scheduled from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Music Recital Hall. At 8 p.m. in the same location, the Michael Garson Trio will perform. The group features legendary jazz drummer Joe La Barbera and bass player Edwin Livingston.
