Gregory Young, professor in the finance, real estate & law department, spent winter break on an 11-day lecture and research tour in Southern China. Young, who specializes in international business law and development, lectured graduate students at Guangxi Normal University and Jishou University on topics such as international dispute resolution in U.S. courts.

He also visited Xiamen Academy of International Law, a top tier law school in China. There, Young met with academy leaders as well as the vice president of the Chinese Society of International Economic Law Institute and the secretary-general of the Xiamen Academy of International Law.

Young's conference with Jishou's academic leaders will advance research that he is pursing on behalf of the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars. Young was selected as a scholar last year and will begin a three- to four-month stint in Washington, D.C., in mid-February.
