Graciela Brelles-Mariño, biological sciences department, edited the book "Biological and Environmental Applications of Gas Discharge Plasmas" and contributed two chapters. Kurt Vandervoot, physics department, also contributed a chapter on "Microscopy as an Analysis Tool for Studying Plasma Applications." The book includes seven chapters on environmental, biological, and health-related applications and also descriptions about methodologies used to study the interaction between plasma and its target. Contributions were made by scholars from the United States, France and Germany.
