AMM Students Win Scholarships

Students from the apparel merchandising & management department took six of the eight Joyce Eisenberg-Keefer Entrepreneurial Scholarships awarded annually through Fashion Business Incorporated (FBI) of Los Angeles.
Sophomores Nicole Palumbo, Lynette Salgado, Samantha Gagne and Renee Roberts split a prize of $1,000 for presenting their business plan and design concept for a line of apparel or accessories. The team developed a case analysis of Target's women's business clothing and proposed new merchandising and visual display strategies that would increase profits. The plan centered around a "My Brand" concept.
In addition, AMM seniors Trish Le Barge and Allie Poon were honored with Joyce Eisenberg-Keefer scholarships for their outstanding work. Each received an associate membership to the FBI for one year and a $600 credit for FBI seminars and classes. The FBI provides industry training, education, consulting and other business services.
