Dr. Alejandro Morales is an assistant professor within Cal Poly Pomona’s Psychology & Sociology Department. He received his Ph. D. from University of Nebraska-Lincoln, with specialties in counseling psychology, Latina/o psychology, immigration, language brokering, sexual orientation and gender identity, diabetes prevention and intervention, and research methods. Past research that he has been involved with dealt with the importance of culturally targeted interventions for Latinos with diabetes (PDF).
Dr. Morales mentored Cohort 16’s Stephanie Bañuelos in conducting her own independent research project as part of the McNair Scholars Program.
