How to Join the Hatchery
Application
To apply, fill out an application that describes your:
- Team (can be an individual)
- Idea and why it's innovative
- Target community
- Your plan for putting your idea into action
Eligibility
- Masters and doctoral thesis and citations are not eligible for the Project Hatchery.
- Student's competitions are not eligible for the Project Hatchery.
- Pre-existing senior or capstone projects are not eligible for the Project Hatchery.
- Only projects spanning more than one semester are eligible.
- The Hatchery encourages creative, exploratory projects across all class levels.
*While the Hatchery is open to every student, there are some restrictions on projects. If a team that applies has only graduating seniors, they must be approved for Phase 3 by the beginning of the last semester they are going to be on campus.
*Limited Funding: Funding is prioritized for projects that align with the Hatchery's focus on exploration and innovation.

What to do once you've applied
Please keep an eye on your email as a confirmation email will be sent after you submit your application. This email has the next steps (pretest survey and a team action plan meeting) that you must take to continue on your application process. Please allow for 5-10 business days to receive a response regarding your status.

- build professional experience utilizing innovative techniques, project development skills, and problem-solving
- receive up to $8,000 in funding
