HEERF Student Aid

In 2020, the CARES Act established and funded the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF) at the federal level to provide emergency grants to students to help cover expenses related to the disruption of campus operations due to coronavirus. 

Each of the HEERF programs stipulates that each university or college is responsible for distributing the grants to students.  The institution has sole responsibility for determining grant amounts, how the amount of each student grant will be calculated, and how the grants will be distributed to students at their campus.
