Dr. Venkatesan received his Ph.D. in Management Science & Systems and a Master’s degree in Management Information Systems from State University of New York (SUNY) at Buffalo. He is an active part of the cybersecurity cluster spanning multiple departments across the campus with primary focus on interdisciplinary and pedagogical research in the area of cybersecurity. His research interests include cybersecurity, informatics, and cloud computing. He also has special research interest in the information assurance aspects of social network analytics and healthcare IT.
Dr. Venkatesan has teaching experience at both graduate and undergraduate levels in the area of cloud computing, information assurance, operating systems, database design, systems analysis and design, Java programming, statistics and project management.
