Dr. Sangho Lee is an Associate Professor of Finance and the co-director of the Master of Science in Financial Analytics (MSFA) program at Cal Poly Pomona. His research interests cover a broad range of topics in corporate finance and investment, especially the interaction between corporate policies and product market dynamics. Dr. Lee has published in premier finance journals such as Management Science and the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis. His publications have contributed significantly to studies in corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, institutional ownership, and product market competition.
In line with his impactful research, Dr. Lee is committed to pursuing teaching excellence and has taught various courses in portfolio management, investments, and corporate finance. In 2024, he was selected as a recipient of the CPP Wall of COOL (Celebrating Outstanding Opportunities for Learning) award with his portfolio management course that guides students through an inspiring polytechnic simulation project.
Dr. Lee holds a Ph.D. degree in Finance from Georgia State University, Atlanta. Before joining Cal Poly Pomona, he worked as a Visiting Assistant Professor at Tulane University, New Orleans. In his spare time, he enjoys listening to various genres of music, including classical piano and heavy metal. He also loves watching European football and international tournaments. , summa cum laude
