Peter Kilduff is a Provost Fellow in the Huntley College of Agriculture at Cal Poly Pomona, having formerly served as Associate Dean for the College (2017-2024) and as Professor and Chair of the Department of Apparel Merchandising and Management (2006-2017). He began his career in the UK textile industry before pursuing graduate studies at the University of Leeds. After a stint in management consulting, he subsequently embarked on an academic career lasting 35 years.
Professor Kilduff is a recognized expert in the analysis of the competitive and structural dynamics of the global fiber, textile and apparel industries and their markets. His research has embraced strategic, marketing, organizational, economic, technological and supply chain management issues. He has worked extensively in a research and consulting role with leading companies, national trade institutions, government agencies and international organizations in Europe, Asia, North America, and Africa, investigating government policy, and industry and market dynamics across a spectrum of fiber, textile, apparel and related sectors.
