My Interests

As a strong proponent of a proper diet and daily exercise, I am personally and professionally passionate about achieving total fitness and exceptional health. My primary research interest centers on optimizing weight & fat loss strategies that include regular aerobic and resistance training. It is through this interest that I have sought ways to advance our understanding of "chrononutrition" and the potential benefits of morning feeding, i.e., breakfast. Adjacent to these interests, I am interested in the prevention of type II diabetes as well. I also support students who are striving to become sports nutritionists or work as general nutritionists or trainers. The major courses that I teach are in topics of Basic Nutrition, Nutrient Metabolism, and Sports Nutrition.
