Bio

Dr. Magdy Farag is a professor and chair of the Accounting Department at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, where he teaches and conducts research in financial accounting, auditing, and ethics. Prior to joining Cal Poly Pomona, Dr. Farag taught at Kent State University in Ohio and the Arab Academy for Science and Technology in Alexandria, Egypt.

Dr. Farag holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from Alexandria University, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Arab Academy for Science and Technology, and a Doctorate Degree (Ph.D.) in Accounting from Kent State University. Dr. Farag is also a licensed CPA in California. He is a member of the American Accounting Association, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and an educational member of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants.

In his spare time, Dr. Farag enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. Traveling, cycling, and swimming are among their hobbies.
