Lydia Chen Shah is a leader in strategy, sustainability, brand/product management, integrated marketing communications, and organizational culture. As a professor at Cal Poly Pomona in the International Business and Marketing department, she has collaborated with numerous community and industry partners where students gain real-world polytechnic experience. Deeply committed to education of the whole person and service learning, Lydia was selected by CPP’s Center for Community Engagement as a Faculty Fellow in 2015 and by Campus Compact as an Engaged Scholar in 2019.
As a consultant, Lydia has worked with clients in social impact, education, lifestyle, and technology sectors. Her professional experience spans from startups to Fortune 100 companies. She also serves on the executive committee for Cal Poly Pomona’s Alumni Association board of directors.
Lydia earned her MBA with a dual emphasis in Marketing and Management from Loyola Marymount University, a B.S. in Business Administration from Cal Poly Pomona, and an Equity and Inclusion Credential from Campus Compact. She teaches Digital Marketing, Consumer Behavior, Interactive Marketing, Social Impact and Nonprofit Marketing, Brand Management, Sustainable Development, and International Marketing. Before teaching at Cal Poly Pomona, Lydia taught at Loyola Marymount University.
