I am a Professor Emerita of Geography at Cal Poly Pomona. I received my Bachelor and Master degrees from East China Normal University and Ph.D. from UCLA. After 30 years teaching, I semi-retired in 2020. I now teach Fall semesters and off spring semesters. In 30 years, I moved through the academic ranks to full professor and served as the department chair for six years. In addition, I served as an adjunct faculty for the Regenerative Studies for 20 years. My teaching and research are in the areas of Climatology, Physical Geography, Geographic Information Science (GIS), Environmental Modeling, and Environmental Sustainability.
