Dr. Ken Stahl has been teaching in IGE at Cal Poly for 29 years and loves it. He has also taught at Harvey Mudd College, Pomona College, CSU San Bernardino, and Chaffey College. He has a B.A. in History from the College of William and Mary followed by a M.A. and Ph.D. in English and American Literature from Claremont Graduate School. Hiking, gardening, art and architecture, friends, family, and dogs enrich his life outside of teaching. He is also an amateur astronomer. One of the reasons he loves IGE is that he has many interests and IGE allows him to connect them and also to explore new ones. Another reason is IGE's interactive learning, with its challenge to continually keep teaching fresh and creative. Ken has been Program Coordinator of the department and is the longtime advisor to the IGE Student Organization, or IGESO.
