Dr. Erika DeJongheErika DeJonghe, Ph.D. is a professor in the Department of Psychology at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, where she teaches undergraduate and graduate level courses. She received her doctorate in clinical psychology from Michigan State University in 2007. Dr. DeJonghe’s primary area of research is family violence, with a particular emphasis on the relationship between violent/aggressive behavior and gender. Dr. DeJonghe has a second line of research related to the experiences of those who are demographically under-represented in their academic disciplines. Dr. DeJonghe is also a licensed clinical psychologist. Her areas of clinical interest include family therapy, play therapy, and child group therapy, with a focus on work with children and families recovering from trauma.
