Research Interests:
Dr. Elif Ozkaya is an interdisciplinary scholar whose research spans the fields of digital media, consumer behavior, sustainability, and the psychological impacts of technology. With a Ph.D. in Information and Media from Michigan State University, Dr. Ozkaya has contributed extensively to understanding media consumption's social and cognitive effects, including the role of habit and emotional regulation in entertainment video selection and the consequences of habitual and compulsive gameplay. 
 
Recent work by Dr. Ozkaya includes exploring digital marketing strategies that leverage regulatory changes for competitive advantage and innovative applications of technology in sustainability, such as transforming universities into waste-to-energy hubs through biodigesters.
