Afsaneh Nouri Houshyar received her Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering with a focus on Operation Management from Universiti Putra Malaysia. She taught multiple graduate and undergraduate courses in Engineering and Business at other universities. She has published and presented many research papers in valuable journals and at international conferences. Prior to joining Cal Poly Pomona, she cooperated as a consultant with one of the largest national automotive manufacturers in Malaysia and some private manufacturing companies. Moreover, she was a researcher at the National University of Malaysia and the Management Development Research Center (MDRC) for many years.
Her current interests include operation management, supply chain management, project management, process design and improvement, mathematical modeling and optimization, simulation modeling, and data analysis.
