Student Eligibility

The new TSP program is designed to increase access to CPP. If you faced academic, financial, or personal hardships that prevented you from attending CPP, this program could help you get to CPP to earn your degree. All freshmen who opted not to enroll at a CSU campus can apply to the TSP. TSP applicants can choose from over 40 selected majors at CPP.

Students can submit at TSP application through the Transfer Planner. The TSP application filing dates are the following:

  • Participating Majors: Opens: August 1, Closes: November 30
  • Limited Capacity Majors: Opens August 1, Closes: When Capacity Reached

Frequently Asked Questions


Students will have guaranteed admission to Cal Poly Pomona and their degree program upon completion of the transfer requirements.

TSP applicants can attend multiple community colleges; however, a student can only apply to one program and have one TSP agreement.

If a student decides to change to another campus or program in the future, they must submit a request for release and allow time for the campus to review. Students can request to cancel their agreement at any time. However, the ability to select another campus is only during their enrollment period between August 1 and September 30th. CPP will allow students to change programs within the first year of their TSP agreement to allow flexibility to choose a program during their college exploration time at the community college.

Students will be able to view available TSP agreements by campus and enroll in a TSP agreement through the Transfer Planner portal.

Students must meet the requirements of the agreement and transfer within 3 years to a CSU campus.
