If you complete your Master’s Degree prior to completing all coursework for your Teaching Credential program, your tuition for the remainder of your Teaching Credential program will be charged based on the Credential Student Fee Schedule.
- Eligibility for financial aid will be based on your status as a Graduate student as long as you are completing both programs concurrently.
If you complete your master’s degree prior to completing all coursework for your Teaching Credential program, your financial aid eligibility for the remainder of your Teaching Credential program will be based on your status as a Teaching Credential Student.

- The Earned Unit Maximums for the State University Grant are based on total earned (completed) units. Enrolling in courses that are not required for your master’s degree prior to officially adding a Credential program may result in exhausting your eligibility for the State University Grant.
Once you have officially added the Credential Program, your eligibility will be adjusted to reflect the increased unit requirements for the combined objective (Master’s & Credential).
- The Maximum Timeframe Standard under our Satisfactory Academic Progress for Financial Aid Applicants is based on total units attempted while pursuing your program. Enrolling in courses that are not required for your master’s degree prior to officially adding a Credential program may result in exhausting your overall eligibility for financial aid prior to completing your program.
