Credential Admissions

Pursuing Education Doctorate - adding Administrative Services Credential (while still completing the Education Doctorate)

If you are interested in pursuing your post-baccalaureate work, we recommend that you carefully review the graduate admission requirements. As you begin to explore your options visit the department website for information on masters and credential programs. Once you determine that you want to add a new graduate degree, you must submit a petition to add a new graduate degree objective.

  1. Tuition will be charged based on the Education Doctorate Fee Schedule as long as you are completing both programs concurrently.
If you complete your Doctoral Degree prior to completing all coursework for your Administrative Services Credential program, your tuition for the remainder of your Administrative Services Credential program will be charged based on the Credential Student Fee Schedule.
  2. Eligibility for financial aid will be based on your status as a Graduate student as long as you are completing both programs concurrently.
If you complete your Doctoral Degree prior to completing all coursework for your Administrative Services Credential program, you will not be eligible for any financial aid for the remainder of the Administrative Services Credential program.
Per the U.S. Department of Education, the Administrative Services Credential program is not an aid-eligible program.  There is no federal, state, or institutional grant aid nor federal student loans available for students in this program.
  1. Review the Understanding Enrollment Requirements page on the Financial Aid & Scholarships website for details regarding how your enrollment impacts the various types of financial aid.
  2. The Maximum Timeframe Standard under our Satisfactory Academic Progress for Financial Aid Applicants is based on total units attempted while pursuing your Doctoral Degree program – and cannot be adjusted to account for the Administrative Services Credential program (due to the non-aid eligible status of the program). Enrolling in courses that are not required for the Education Doctorate program may result in exhausting your overall eligibility for financial aid prior to completing your program – even if the courses are required for the Administrative Services Credential.
Information regarding the financial aid process and types of aid available for Graduate Students is located on the Financial Aid & Scholarships website
