Cyber Security is one of the most rapidly evolving industries, so our goal at Cal Poly is to educate students on the latest threats and vulnerabilities. Whether you are already passionate about this field or newly curious about how these issues affect you, we invite you to discover and enjoy all of the resources that we offer in order to prevent you from becoming a target. This year theme emphasized the importance of awareness of the IOT and security. The Poster Symposium, sponsored by the Los Angeles Chapter of ISACA showcased the different aspects of security ranging from secure passwords to social engineering tactics. Our speakers for this year includes, Richard Leis, stand-up comedian from Flappers Comedy Club, Brett Collingwood, Intel Educator, and Asad Baheri, Product Sales Specialist for Nth Generation. In addition to this year's lineup of wonderful speakers we had a Hands-On interactive activity center for students to play with tech gadgets that are now a part of everyday life. With the assistance of SWIFT we students were able to break into Routers, Cameras, Coffee Makers, Cloud Storages, and other IOT devices.

Event Summary
This years cyber security awareness fair emphasizes the involvement of woman in IT and encourages the pursuit of a career in Cyber Security. Despite the high demand and increase in job openings in the cyber security industry, women continue to be under-represented in the field. The Cyber Security and Awareness Fair would like to encourage female prospects to pursue cyber security as a career path and to take advantage of all of the opportunities available within it. Prestigious sponsors of the fair such as London Security Solutions and Trend Micro, can assist women in building connections and networking with professionals in the industry.
