Jim Dina is currently a board member and partner of Pyramid Global Hospitality. He has more than 45 years of hospitality and executive level leadership.

He was cofounder of Pyramid Hotel Group and held the position of Co-President and Chief Operating Officer until mid-2019. His accomplishments include the leadership of several company acquisitions and the brand conversion and management transition of more than 200 hotels into Pyramid’s platform. Jim was responsible for all aspects of the management organization and processes and drove the People First Culture of over 12,000 associates. He also oversaw Pyramid’s Project Management Division.

Mr. Dina began his hospitality career as Corporate Trainee with Sheraton ITT and worked thru several positions with Sheraton and Westin Hotel corporations. In 1988, he joined Guest Quarters Suites Hotels which later merged with DoubleTree Hotels. Mr. Dina moved thru several property and regional leadership positions and as VP of Transitions led the merger and integrations of Red Lion and DoubleTree Hotels and then Promus and DoubleTree Hotels. He later moved to VP of Pacific Northwest Operations and was subsequently appointed EVP Chief Operating Officer of Red Lion Hotels. In 2000, Mr. Dina joined his colleagues, Richard Kelleher and Warren Fields, at Pyramid to develop the management company.

Mr. Dina’s introduction to the industry was a bus person at 14 years of age and holds an AS in Restaurant Management from SUNY, Cobleskill, NY and a BS in Hospitality Management from RIT, Rochester, NY. He has served on several advisory boards including Marriott, Sheraton, Westin, Doubletree, Starwood, ASFONA, Endicott College and BSA Boston.
