Interview with Jenny Lam

August 2021

Hello! My name is Jenny, and I’m a third-year planning to graduate next Spring 2022. I transferred from Pasadena City College to Cal Poly in Fall 2020. I’m pursuing a major in Technology & Operations Management and a minor in Computer Informations System. After graduation, I plan to take a short break to possibly explore NorCal with some friends. I also plan to pursue a Master’s Degree while working a full-time position. I recently accepted an internship with Niagara Bottling Headquarters where I’ll be working as an Asset Management Intern for the summer! I will be analyzing manufacturing data, helping the business understand life cycles of machines, and making strategic decisions about warranty with the company’s suppliers. My interest is pursuing a career in areas involving sustainability, production assembly, engineering, and data analytics in the technology and aerospace industry. My advice is to set small goals that lead to a bigger picture and constantly grow yourself in all aspects. I cannot emphasize enough how impactful being involved on campus is, especially attending events and clubs activities as this is a great way to build a support network and find opportunities. It is also important to do your own research, ask questions, and never give up!
