Interview with Zining Yang

Dr. Zining Yang is Adjunct Professor at Department of Technology and Operations Management at Cal Poly Pomona. She also works as Senior Manager at Southern California Edison, and Clinical Professor at Claremont Graduate University. She sits on the Board of Computational Social Science Society of the Americas (CSSSA), and serves as Scientific Advisory Board Member for Human Factors and Simulations. Prior to her current roles, she used to serve as Director of Research and Operations at Acertas, Senior Analyst at Sentia Group, Research Associate at National People’s Congress National People's Congress Environment Protection and Resources Conservation Committee, and Quality Control Expert for China National Knowledge Infrastructure.
Dr. Yang’s research interests include data analytics, political economy, computational modeling and simulation. She has numerous publications in the fields of agent-based modeling, complex adaptive systems, network analysis, human social cultural behavioral modeling, and international political economy. She has won multiple international awards in computational modeling, and her research is indexed by Lecture Notes in Computer Science, Springer Advances in Complex Adaptive Systems Modeling, and Springer Advances in Intelligent Systems Computing. Dr. Yang teaches Statistical Foundations for Business Analytics at CBA, and graduate level courses at CGU, including Advanced Formal Models, Network Analysis, and Game Theory.
