2024 Industry Night
The Industry Night event this year was a vibrant and engaging affair, bringing together students, professionals, and industry leaders for an evening of networking, learning, and celebration. The event featured Jim Stewart, from Central Pet & Garden, as a key note speaker who delivered insightful talks on current industry trends, professional development, and future opportunities. He also provided valuable perspectives, inspiring attendees, and fostering a sense of community and collaboration.
Jim has 15 years of experience at Central Garden and Pet in operations and sales management. He excels in developing talent through a successful Cal Poly Pomona internship program and high-performing teams. Jim is also a valued mentor in Central's Mentorship program and for CSCMP. He holds a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Bradley University and a Master’s in Management from Harvard University.
A significant portion of the evening was dedicated to networking, with students and professionals mingling and discussing potential career paths, internships, and collaborative projects. The atmosphere was lively, with many making new connections and strengthening existing ones.
The event also showcased presentations from undergraduate clubs CSCMP & OMS, highlighting their achievements, upcoming projects, and opportunities for involvement. These presentations underscored the vibrant student community and the diverse interests and talents within the university.
Attendees enjoyed an array of delicious food, adding to the event's convivial atmosphere. The menu featured a variety of options, catering to different tastes and dietary preferences, ensuring everyone was well-fed and satisfied.
One of the highlights of the evening was the announcement of the DMA and APICS scholarships as well as the Graduate Assistantship Awards recognizing students for their academic excellence, leadership, and contributions to their fields of study. These awards not only provided financial support but also acknowledged the hard work and dedication of the recipients.
Additionally, the event included a raffle with amazing prizes, adding an element of excitement and anticipation. Participants eagerly awaited the raffle draws, hoping to take home some of the coveted prizes.

Commencement 2024
The Graduation Commencement of 2024 was a memorable and joyous occasion, marking a significant milestone for the graduating class.
