Interview with Jenny Lam

Hi! My name is Jenny, and I recently graduated from Cal Poly Pomona in Spring 2022. I majored in Technology and Operations Management and minored in Computer Information Systems. I transferred to CPP in Fall 2020 and began working as the Student Assistant for the TOM/EBZ department. From that time, I worked for the department for a little over a year.
I started with Niagara Bottling as an Asset Management Intern the summer before entering my senior year. I secured this opportunity through the OMS Club Spring Speed Sourcing event. While attending school full-time, I continued to work as an intern part-time. I was offered full-time employment upon graduation. I feel aligned with Niagara’s work culture, values, and opportunities, so I accepted the offer.
I currently work at Niagara Bottling in the Engineering department. I am a part of the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) team. This June, I transitioned over as an Asset Management Candidate under the Professional Development Program (PDP).
Under the PDP program, I have a unique plan to work on targeted projects across departments within Niagara. This plan is custom to align with my original position’s goals, knowledge, and responsibilities within the EAM team with a focus on warranty. My main responsibilities are processing warranty work orders and reclamation compliances from plants, analyzing machine parts warranty data, overseeing inventory and management processes, and other support work. My focus and goals are automating, creating, and improving processes.
