Interview with Marina Canzobre
March 2025
My name is Marina Canzobre, I'm 24 years old and after finishing my major in Business Administration, I wanted to learn more about Supply Chain and Operations. After doing some research, I came across the Digital Supply Chain Management Master’s program that Cal Poly Pomona offers, and really liked how it combines lean principles and supply chain with AI and technology. I enrolled in the fast track, one-year program and accomplished my master’s degree between August 2023 and August 2024.
During my undergraduate studies, I played college basketball at Portland State University and doubled-majored in Business Administration and Leadership, and Human Resources Management. Additionally, I earned a certificate in International Business and was the President of a student organization for nearly two years. This leadership role allowed me to apply various methods learned in class to real-world situations.
After that, I got more interested in Supply Chain, like I mentioned earlier, and researched about master’s programs. I completed it at Cal Poly Pomona within a year. From the beginning I was already planning what my next step would be. Hilti contacted me through LinkedIn, and after applying and going through several interviews, I got the position as a Tool Services Specialist II at the Center of Operations in Tulsa, OK.
In my job, I provide technical support across North America and Canada. My role involves managing issues such as lost, stolen or broken products and ensuring their timely replacement or repair. I handle operations and logistics to resolve these matters as quickly as possible. I really like being in touch with so many departments, I learn a lot about different processes from different areas and talk to many people every day!
