The Cal Poly Pomona Artificial Intelligence Fair encourages participants to explore artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance academic success, reduce disparities, and improve social equity. By creating tools and applying them responsibly, AI can help end systematic inequality.

9:30 - Opening remarks with Dr. Sandeep Krishnamurthy, Singelyn Family Dean, College of Business Administration
9:45 - Artificial Intelligence panel discussion
10:30 - Hackathon finalist presentations & judging

12:15 - Keynote with Maria Alvarez, Vice President AI Research & Experimentation at Microsoft
13:00 - Hackathon winner & closing remarks with Gord Mawhinney Executive Vice President at Avanade
Hackathon
Cal Poly Pomona Student teams of three to five compete in a campuswide, industry-partnered hackathon, with finalists presenting at the fair. Participating CPP students must register their team and each team member must reserve a fair ticket.
Community Dialog
Students, staff, and faculty are encouraged to participate in discussing the possibilities and criticisms of AI. Student clubs working with artificial intelligence are invited to organize a table at the fair.

We invite you to inspire and educate our diverse community and seek presenters who align with this year’s theme to provide narratives around their innovative technologies, approaches, and experiences with artificial intelligence.
