Rescue Foundation is dedicated to rescuing women and children from human trafficking and prostitution. The Foundation ensures their rehabilitation and reintegration into the society and helps them regain their human rights.

Rescue Foundation was co-founded by late Mr. Balkrishna Acharya, and his wife, Triveni Acharya, who currently servs as the foundation’s President. Under her leadership, the foundation has scaled up its operations to include three facilities supporting the rehabilitation of several hundred girls. The foundation has rescued and rehabilitated more than 5000 girls over the last decade.

For her humanitarian services, Mrs. Acharya has been awarded numerous awards. She has been featued in several documentaries and the work of the foundation has received media coverage in India and abroad.

Triveni began her career with a background in journalism and social work and have served in related roles. She speaks Hindi, Gujarati, Marathi and English.

In her presentation, "Giving Hope to Young Girls," she will share with the conference attendees the genesis and work of the Rescue Foundation. She will also discuss the social and phsychological challenges the young girls face not only as victims, but also as they get rehabilitated and reintegrated back into the society.

The foundation's initiatives and activities are designed to deal with such challenges.
