Buddhism, Confucianism, Daoism.
Confucius, Daoism and Buddhism are the most import philosophies in Chinese history. It is through these three phislosophies that intellectual thought in China for most of its history is defined. The following five lessons will expose sixth grade students to: (1) a brief introduction to the lives of Confucius, Lao Tzu and Confucius, (2) the philosophies of these three men and (3) enable the students to work with the three great works of literature attributed to these three men - Dharmapada, Dao De Ching and Ananlects.
