Economics of New Imperialism
"FREE TRADE" was the battle cry of the British in the nineteenth century. This project explores the tools and the techniques used by the imperial authorities, and the impact these had on the indigeonous people. Gunboats such as the Nemesis in China, and the Jute trade in India make interesting case studies to demonstrate the economics of New Imperialism.
