Daoist Tales
"Daoist Tales and Poetry" is a two-week language Arts unit intended for sixth graders, but can be adopted to meet the needs of other grade levels as well. The purpose is to help students read and discusss Lao-tzu's parables & poems in order to assess their usefulness for real life situations. Through these tales, students will have the opportunity to grasp key concepts of Daoism, such as One-ness, Way, Simplicity, Yin and Yang, Harmony, etc.
