Graduate Writing Assessment Requirement

GWAR is a CSU-mandated graduation requirement for all undergraduate students. Beginning in Fall 2025, CPP students will satisfy the requirement through certified major courses that teach them to write within their disciplines.

GWAR courses are certified by the Academic Senate's University Writing Committee and managed by a Writing in the Disciplines Coordinator.
