Dear Students,
You may have learned that the CSU Teamsters’ Union representing Skilled Crafts employees has announced a one-day strike on CSU campuses for Tuesday, November 14, 2023.
Cal Poly Pomona will remain open during any strike activity, providing student instruction, scheduled events, and other student services. If you live in a residence hall, you will continue to be provided all usual services. The Bronco Student Center, University Library, and other student service centers will also remain open.
There may be picket lines at the entrance to the campus. You may cross this picket line if feel comfortable doing so. You may also choose an entrance that does not have a picket line. You are not obligated to provide the members of a picket line with your name or any other information. If anyone harasses you or if you believe that crossing the line is unsafe, you may report this incident to Employee/Labor Relations & Compliance at elr@cpp.edu.
If you are feeling anxious regarding strike activity, support is available for you.
You can access:
- Care Center (Building 97 (Marketplace), first floor, 909-869-5071 or carecenter@cpp.edu)
- Counseling and Psychological Services (Building 66, Room 116, 909-869-3220 or caps@cpp.edu)
Cal Poly Pomona remains committed to providing its students with the highest quality educational experience. We appreciate your understanding and patience during this time.
Sincerely,
Christina Gonzales
