ARI Grant Collaboration Improves Precision Agriculture

infographic describing the UAV precision agriculture collaboration

There are several Agricultural Research Institute (ARI) projects going on at CPP. Our infographic tells the story of one. It is “Investigating the Methods to Increase the Accuracy of UAV-Based Remote Sensing and Machine Learning Techniques for Precision Agriculture.” It’s a collaboration between the colleges of Engineering, Science, and Agriculture. The Principal Investigator is Subodh Bhandari from the College of Engineering.

ARI is a CSU program that provides funding for research that addresses issues facing California agriculture. ARI member campuses are Cal Poly Pomona, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, Fresno State, and CSU Chico. Humboldt State, and CSU Monterey Bay are associate campuses.

ARI’s mission is to enable applied research – through the power of the California State University (CSU) system – that benefits California agriculture, natural resources and food systems while cultivating the next generation of agricultural leaders.
